Wenlock Hospital is a well known government District hospital located in the heart of Mangalore city. It was established in the year 1848 and since then it has been providing medical care to the poorer sections of the society of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Shimoga, Chikmagalur. Hassana and Coorg district of Karnataka state. In addidition the patients from the neighboring districts of Kerala are also availing medical facilities front this hospital. Wenlock District Hospital is a 705 bedded hospital. An additional 200 bedded Pediatric wing has been donated by Infosys foundation. This wing is named as Rcaginal Advanced Pediatric Care Centre.
We uses a collaborative approach to delivering health care. We support an environment in which health care professionals work together to help individuals and families stay healthy through health education, prevention and regular health screenings.
The patient and physician relationship is created through mutual respect, trust, honesty and confidentiality. We encourage the establishment of a close relationship between individuals and their personal physician or provider. This means each patient's health history is understood and followed over time by a provider, and that both physician and patient are participating in the healing process.

  • Make sure you get a balanced diet, as often as possible.

  • Along with fresh veggies and fruits, eat slim meats (if you’re not vegetarian), nuts, seeds (sprouts) and salads.

    Exercise at least four days a week for 20 to 30 minutes each day.
  • Drink water – you need to stay hydrated. Not only is it good for your internal organs, it also keeps your skin healthy.

    Wake up early to practice simple meditation.
  • To determine your water requirement, divide your weight (in pounds) by two. This gives the daily ounce-recommendation.

    Doing household chores also counts as activity.
